I AM ANTHONY LIBONATI.
“FOR EVERY COMPLEX PROBLEM, THERE IS AN ANSWER THAT IS CLEAR, SIMPLE, AND WRONG.”
– H. L. MENCKEN
Born and raised in Portland, Oregon, I grew up as an artist, musician, and athlete. I met my wife, Jamie, in high school choir class, which was actually taught by my father. I started drawing at around 13, when I discovered anime and manga. After high school, I played semi-pro hockey for five years, which gave me time to consider my life plan. I eventually decided that I wanted to own my own business building drums. I would go to school for Business and Graphic Design so that I knew how to keep a business afloat and could produce all of my own marketing
materials. I had the great joy of studying Graphic Design at Portland State University, where I received a truly profound ass-kicking. As the fire and the hammer forge the iron, so too was I forged by my schooling. Since starting my schooling, my love for design has grown from a mild desire to a borderline obsession. I feel privileged for every day I get to scribble some doodles and call it a career. Since finishing school, I have also become the father of two beautiful girls, Amelia and Olivia.
BRANDS I'VE INFLUENCED
A brand is so much more than a logo, it is all the ways that your company interacts with it's customers. If a logo is a person's face, then a brand is a person's whole appearance. How their voice sounds, how they walk, what they wear, all of it. Is it time for your brand to get a makeover?
There is a distinct difference between walking into an Abercrombie & Fitch store and walking into a Nike Facility. It's all about creating an experience for the customer, one that enhances the brand. Whether it be a retail window display, a corporate timeline, a shop-in-shop, or a trade show booth, I will artfully extend your brand into a physical space.
90% of design is making type look good. I have extensive experience working with everything from catalogs and editorials to wedding invites and tee shirts. Be it multi-page documents, brochures, or mailers, I am the designer for you.
